Oh Canada

One of my lifelong dreams is to be a strip artist. Not a webcomic artist, mind you! I want to have a strip published in the newspaper. I had the opportunity to start working towards this in my junior year of college, as I was offered an opportunity to draw the weekly strip in my college newspaper.
The result was Oh Canada, a strip done in the school of Charles Schulz's Peanuts.
The story revolved around a series of characters in a small, rural town on the east side of Pennsylvania. Canada, the main character, is lonely, defeated and oddly driven, while his computer is confident, ardent and sometimes just a bit harsh. I was hoping at the time to strike to the heart of my own insecurities, while simultaneously trying my best to help others realize theirs.
Oh Canada was received to little fanfare, and I was't asked to do a strip when the newspaper changed hands in my senior year. Oh well!
